But it makes no claims for fluoride, chloramine, PFAS, pharmaceutical residues or dissolved heavy metals; those pass straight through into your glass. An ionizer also can't demineralise aggressively (electrolysis needs minerals to work), so it depends entirely on what arrives at its inlet. A dedicated prefilter is how you control that.

Yes, calcium scale plates onto the electrolysis plates. Even a thin layer reduces conductivity and can quietly reduce hydrogen output while pH still reads high, so the machine looks fine while underperforming. The on-bench system installs tool-free in about ten minutes. For the under-bench system, legal requirements in many states mean we recommend professional installation by a certified plumber.
